FAQ
Monthly membership: The first pack will be sent to your child within a week of you signing up. After that the packs get posted first class on the 7th of each month.
No joining fee, just the monthly subscription.
There is no fixed length. You can cancel your subscription at any time.
There are over 70 different packs covering a variety of topics in the National Curriculum for 6-12 year old's, focusing on topics that children find particularly difficult.
There are usually 6 or 7 worksheets in each pack, depending on the difficulty of the topic. So your child could do a couple a week, or spend a whole 2 or 3 hour sitting a month to complete the pack.
Many parents have reported a noticeable improvement in their child's Maths confidence after just the first pack. I absolutely guarantee that you will see noticeable progress if your child completes 4 Maths Club by Post packs, or your money back.
Every 6 months Bonus and Bespoke members will receive a fluffy sticky bug with googly eyes.
If you have a Bespoke membership, then a short assessment will be sent to your child with the first pack. They will receive other assessments every 4-6 packs. The assessments are designed to look fun and unthreatening. The assessment should be returned with the next pack for marking. Any questions that your child gets wrong or misses out will be sent out as topic packs over the coming months.
If you have a bespoke membership then your child will take regular 'skills tests' to help determine which topics they need to practice. They will only be sent the topics suitable for them. If you have budget or bonus membership then the topics will be chosen according to your child’s age, ability and confidence level as stated by you when you fill in the form. (you have multi-choice options and a space for comments)
Send the packs in the post to ‘Freepost Maths Club by Post’ (yes, that is the whole address!) and they will be delivered to me first class.
If you are a bonus or bespoke member then return your child’s work by the end of the month and it will be marked and sent back to you with the next pack.
It is really important that your child's work is marked, to make sure they are not making lots of mistakes and practising how to do it wrong. Marking children's work is a recognised way of valuing what they have done.
If you have a Bonus or Bespoke membership and you return the work to the freepost address, then it will be marked by a qualified and experienced Maths teacher. It is the aim of Maths Club by Post to give lots and lots of praise to build up children who are not confident so this is reflected in the marking. When mistakes have been made, we try to give guidance on where the child has gone wrong, in line with best practice in education.
If you have a Budget membership, you can access the answers on the website and mark your own child's work.
If you are a Bonus or Bespoke member then there are prizes available for good work. The prizes are small and fun - usually stationery or silly toys. For example, unusual post-it notes, craft activities, practical jokes, slime etc.
If you are a Bonus or Bespoke member, and your child regularly completes the whole pack and sends it back, then they can expect to receive a prize at least every 4 or 5 months.
Please only return the work by the Freepost address so that it can be thoroughly marked and sent back to your child.
Don’t worry! You can still return the work and get it marked for the following month. It will still be eligible for a prize!

You will have a week or more for your child to try the first pack. After that, then the first payment will come out on the following 1st of the month in advance ready for the next posting unless you cancel.
The payments will come out of your account on the 1st of each month ready for the pack to be printed and sent out for you on the 7th.
It takes time to print and prepare your child's work and envelope. Once it has been produced, it has your child's name on it and can't be repurposed for someone else, so it is important that it has been paid for first.
As a business that relies on the Royal Mail, occasionally things don't get delivered! If this happens to you, just email [email protected] and a replacement pack will be sent to you immediately.
If you sent your child's work for marking and you haven't received it back with the next pack, it's because it wasn't received in time for marking. That may be because it's lost in the post or if you sent it late - don't worry, it will be marked for next time.
Just email [email protected] before the payment is due to come out and it will be cancelled for you.
